Tamara Allen-Cousins (Artistic Director of Usanu Theatre)
and
Hazel Barnfather (Guest Performer and Workshop Leader)
As part of Big Arts Week 2005, Tamara and Hazel were delighted to offer their creative skills to Bridgestowe Primary School, West Devon. The theme of the day was Fun, Fun and a bit more Fun! Tamara and Hazel were opening up the day to a variety of creative forms including song, drama, play, theatre game and art to the students, aged 7 to 10, who discovered the poem ‘The Owl and The Pussycat’.
For those of you whose memory might need a wee bit of a jog..
“The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
‘O lovely Pussy! O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are, you are, you are,
What a beautiful Pussy you are.’” |
