                               Directed by Tamara Allen-Cousins

A visually stunning and thought-provoking solo piece performed by Norwegian actress Karen Ødemark

Inspired by Italian playwright Franca Rame’s provocative and political writing, the female voice is explored through physical and abstract expression, offering you a vibrant and stimulating theatrical journey.

Embrace’ reveals...
The hidden encounters and untold stories,
Both the delicate and the disturbing, as it brings to the forefront the provoking accounts of one woman’s sexual experiences.

In this intimate space, hear her breath, share her story and experience her.

Discover Embrace...

Currently in rehearsal and scheduled to perform at the Paupers Pit at the Old Hall Hotel as part of the Buxton Festival Fringe 2006, Derbyshire, and at Portsmouth’s Menuhin Theatre at Third Floor Arts Centre, above the Portsmouth Cenral Library, ‘Embrace’ is a sensual inspiring experience and one which is not to be missed.

‘Embrace’ is the two-year performance development of Tamara’s stylistic and raw exploration into female sexual experiences through the solo female performer’s voice and body. Previous ‘Embrace’ experimentation includes work-in-progress performances at the Contact Theatre, Manchester as part of Live and Direct 2006 and ‘the Space between our breath’ at the Battersea Arts Centre, London
