Tamara is an eclectic and vibrant theatre practitioner. She is a passionate
deviser, performer, director and explorer of creative practice. She strives
to craft stimulating theatrical experiences, which are intimate, challenging
and unique.
Graduated from Rose Bruford College with a BA Hons in European Theatre Arts,
her training stimulated her interest in unusual and devised theatre, which
resulted in the formation of Usanu Theatre. As the co-Artistic Director,
Tamara has worked extensively with Usanu Theatre, both as a performer,
director and workshop leader.
Tamara regularly facilitates drama-based workshops and has lead sessions for
children, youths and adults in the UK and Tobago, West Indies. Her passions
also lie in social, issue- based theatre, especially that which aims at
giving women and disadvantaged young adults a voice. Tamara is an artist who
is fascinated by physical expression and the truths that can be conveyed
through it. She is inspired by the bizarre and the surreal and by the
encounters and moments which make up her daily world. |
